Parent & Carer Support
Raising a child is no easy assignment, and whether you are raising a toddler or a teenager or have an adult child living with you, being a parent never stops.
Functioning as a family unit can bring along difficult situations that nobody prepared you for, and no amount of parenting books can provide you with any guidance.
You may be raising your children with your significant other, with the support of your extended family, or you may be a single parent. Whatever your situation, the stress and pressure will get the better of you at some point, and this is totally normal. You are not alone.
Sometimes, you need some extra help or support from a professional. Somebody who will not judge you for your parenting style or tell you to "just do this or that".
Core Counselling & Consultancy provides parenting and carer support to help you relieve the stress that life brings when you are a parent or carer.
Benefits of Parent & Carer Support
At Core Counselling & Consultancy, we understand the impact a child's environment and experiences have on their developmental journey. We remain on top of the latest research to help you manage your most valuable things in life.

Let go of guilt and shame
You do not owe anyone an explanation, only you are in charge of what you decide is best for you and your family.

Navigate life more efficiently
We do not need more stress in our lives, and raising a family is already stressful enough. Learn to enjoy the journey and the difficult transitions that life will throw at you.
Stop self-judgment
You are doing a great job! Even though sometimes you feel overwhelmed, that is ok. Everybody needs a break!
Create healthier relationships
Learn to understand the need for attachment that your children have, and what makes them thrive into independent people.
Build supportive strategies
Yes your parents may have been hard on you, but you do not have to use the same strategies. Learn what is supportive and makes your child thrive.

The Circle of Security Program is a series of group sessions designed to assist parents and caregivers in providing their children with the emotional support needed to develop secure attachments, build resilience, and enhance school readiness.
The Circle of Security Program falls under the "early intervention" category, primarily suitable for parents with children under eight.
The evidence-based program, founded on John Bolwby's attachment theory, will support participants in understanding a child's emotional connection needs and establishing healthy relationships.

Early Intervention Services

Suppose your child is not meeting all their milestones like (your) other children do. Maybe they do not yet meet disability requirements to receive NDIS funding. In that case, they may be eligible under the early intervention requirements.
Early intervention is usually early access to support to help reduce the functional impacts of a potential impairment. Diagnostics may take a long time. Early intervention services can help you with getting school ready and navigate the system until a diagnosis is made.
