Advocacy - NDAP

At Core Counselling & Consultancy, your voice matters.

You have the right to make choices about your supports, to be heard, and to feel safe in the services you receive. Sometimes, you might want extra support to understand your options, speak up, or navigate a difficult situation. That’s where an advocate can help.

Advocacy services are independent and free. An advocate works alongside you, not for any service provider, to help you:

  • Understand your rights

  • Explore your options

  • Communicate your needs and preferences

  • Make informed decisions

You can access advocacy at any time, whether things are going well or if something doesn’t feel right.

In Australia, the National Disability Advocacy Program (NDAP) funds advocacy services for people with disability who need support to speak up or be heard.
