Therapy & Counselling Services (NDIS)
Therapy and counselling under the NDIS are delivered as part of Capacity Building supports. These services are non-clinical in nature and are designed to help participants build skills, manage daily challenges, and increase independence in their lives. Unlike clinical mental health treatment, capacity building therapy focuses on practical strategies and supports that strengthen resilience, emotional regulation, and community participation.

Sessions focus on developing confidence, improving communication and problem-solving skills, and creating strategies that participants can use in their everyday lives. The aim is to build capacity so that individuals feel more equipped to manage difficulties, connect with others, and work towards their goals.

Our face-to-face services are mobile, which means we come to you—whether at home, in the community, or another suitable location. Please contact us to discuss suitability.
Some examples of how we work with our clients:
-

-
Building Social Skills: practising how to start conversations, read social cues, or maintain friendships
-

-

-
Decision-making and planning: learning how to make choices, set small goals, and take steps towards achieving them

How it works
-
Initial Contact – We start with a conversation to understand your needs, NDIS goals, and how therapy may help.
-
Service Agreement – Together we create a service agreement that outlines the type of therapy, frequency of sessions, and how supports will be delivered.
-
Therapy Sessions – Sessions are then scheduled at your home, in the community, or another location that works best for you.
-
Ongoing Support – The frequency of sessions is flexible and decided together with you. Some participants prefer weekly sessions, while others choose fortnightly or monthly depending on their needs and goals.
-
Review and Progress – Progress is reviewed regularly to make sure the strategies are working, and adjustments are made if new goals arise.
